Khichadi is a
traditional South Indian dish which finds its place in any sadya, be it Onam, a
marriage or a birthday. It is an easy to prepare curry and requires very little
ingredients.

Ingredients
1. Ladies Finger( Bhindi) -
10 nos
2. Coconut( grated) -
½ the coconut.
3. Green chillies -
2 nos
4. Oil -
2 tsp
5. Curd -
2 tbsp
6. Mustard seeds -
½ tsp
7. Curry leaves -
6-7 nos
8. Salt - to
taste.
Method: Clean and cut
the bhindi into thin round slices. Fry in oil till golden brown.
Grind coconut and
green chillies to a fine paste
Add the fried ladies
finger to the coconut paste and mix well. Add required salt.
Stir for 2 minutes.
Now add the beaten curd and stir continuously for 5 minutes so as to avoid the
splitting of the curd.
Heat oil in a pan and
add mustard seeds. Let it splutter. Add the curry leaves and fry till done.
Pour over the curry. Mix well and serve.
Notes: Instead of
beating the curd and adding to the curry, you can add curd while grinding the
coconut and green chillies.
