Palak Pakoda

Pakoda is a very famous Indian street food. North Indians love a cup of tea with pakodas especially when there it is rain. Pakodas can be made with onion, aloo, bread, brinjal etc. Palak pakodas cannot be forgotten. It is usually had with green chutney or sauce.

Basic info about the recipe
Cuisine                                             - North Indian
Serves                                             - 2-3 people.

Ingredients:
1.   Besan(gram flour)            - 1 cup
2.   Palak(chopped)                - 1 cup
3.   Hing                                   - a pinch
4.   Turmeric pwder                - ½ tsp
5.   Red chilli powder              - 1 tsp
6.   Ginger-garlic paste           - ½ tsp
7.   Salt                                     - to taste
8.   Rice flour                           - 2 tbsp.
9.   Oil                                       - for frying.

Method: Mix everything together adding sufficient water to form a medium thick consistency.

Heat oil in a pan.  Keep in low flame. Drop little mixture to the oil using a spoon and fry both sides till golden brown.  Sprinkle chaat masala and serve with green chutney.
