Pepper Mushroom

Mushroom dishes are prepared all over India. Pepper mushroom is a good starter item. It can be served with roti also. It is a tasty dish and easy to prepare.

Basic info about the recipe
Cuisine                                             - North India
Serves                                             - 2 people

Ingredients:
1.   Mushrooms                - 200 gms
2.   Corn flour                             - 1/2 cup
3.   Rice flour                    - 1 tbsp
4.   Salt                             - to taste
5.   Oil                               - for frying
6.   Ginger-garlic paste   - 1 tsp
7.   Red chilli powder       - ½ tsp
8.   Turmeric powder       - ¼ tsp
9.   Onion                          - 2 nos
10.           Curry leaves       - 7-8 nos
11.           Garlic(chopd)      - 2 tsp
12.           Pepper powder  - 2-3 tsp
13.           Garam masala   - ½ tsp

Method: Dip mushrooms in hot water adding turmeric. Take out after 2 mts.

Make a thick batter using corn flour and rice flour. To this add salt, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder and turmeric powder.

Dip the mushrooms in this batter and deep fry.

Keep another pan and add a tbsp of oil. Fry garlic and onions till golden brown. Add curry leaves and fry.

Add pepper powder and garam masala and transfer the fried mushrooms to this. Add required salt. Close the lid of the pan and allow to cook everything together. Open the lid and stir occasionally.

Pepper mushroom is ready to be served.
