Raw Mango chutney(maanga chammanthy)




Raw Mango chutney(maanga chammanthi)
                
There are several varieties of chammanthi( chutneys) prepared in Kerala with coconut. Mango chutney is one such which is very tasty and easy to make. It goes well with rice.

Basic info about the recipe
Cuisine                                             - South Indian
Serves                                             - 3 people

Ingredients:
1.   Raw mango                  - 4-5 pieces cut into cubes(according to sourness)
2.   Coconut (grated)         - half a coconut
3.   Red chilli powder        - 1 tsp
4.   Salt                               - to taste
5.   Coconut oil                  - 1 tsp
6.   Mustard seeds            - ½ tsp


Method: Grind everything together without adding water and oil.

Transfer to a bowl and add a tsp of oil over it. Delicious mango chammanthy is ready.

Note: if the mango is not sour enough, a spoon of curd also can be added.
